Among snakes, I am Ananta; among gods of the waters, Varuna; among the manes, Aryama; and among the maintainers of law and order, I am Yama (King of death).

anantaśh chāsmi nāgānāṁ varuṇo yādasām aham pitṝīṇām aryamā chāsmi yamaḥ sanyamatām aham
Among snakes, I am Ananta; among gods of the waters, Varuna; among the manes, Aryama; and among the maintainers of law and order, I am Yama (King of death).
।।10.29।। नागोंमें अनन्त (शेषनाग) और जल-जन्तुओंका अधिपति वरुण मैं हूँ। पितरोंमें अर्यमा और शासन करनेवालोंमें यमराज मैं हूँ।
